GPS

I have a garmin gps it is about seven years old. Thinking about upgrading, what do most think is the best system
  • Best? No stand alone GPS will ever be able to compete with the current crop of app based GPS programs such as Google Maps and Waze.

OK I give up, what do you want to know?
  • Ditto... If you have a specific question, ask it. Otherwise "best" is just an opinion and we all know what those are worth. I don't normally even bother to read threads like this...I should have kept on scrolling. No offense intended.
  • Just ran CoPiloton my IPhone for a trip from Indiana to Topsail. It was fantastic. I like being able to enter the information regarding our camper and our road/speed preferences. The real-time traffic information worked well. Major issue in Indianapolis Friday morning that CoPilot detected and re-routed us. To clarify, we have the CoPilot for RV’s software.

Has anyone tried the Windows Laptop version of CoPilot? I'm presently using Microsoft Streets and Trips 2013 and have yet to find a comparable replacement.

I have it in on a Win7 Pro Dell. There is a learning curve, but once you get used to it, it works well. You can drag routes like S&T's, and the voice directions are clear and loud. There are not as many features as S&T's, but as route planning OK. Good Luck
