I have part of my Google News set to Windows 10 because I don't like it and want to stay up with what they're doing on a daily basis. Apparently, MS is going to force you to go to 10 whether you want to or not. The only way you will be able to stop it is to not connect your computer to the internet.
During early Dec you could install third party software on your PC that stopped 10 from loading. MS has blocked it. Once a day I now get a pop-up from MS asking me if I want to install 10 now, or just download it now and install later. The only way you can get rid of the pop-up is click the white X in the upper right corner. There is no way to tell it not to bother you again. Because it doesn't come in as mail, you can't use Google spam filters on it. If anyone knows how to permanently stop 10 from loading, I'd like to hear about it.
I bought a new laptop recently ($800+) loaded with 10 because I needed a new laptop and didn't want to go through the upgrade process. I thought I could adjust to 10 but I'm really disliking it - not sure what I'm going to do with the laptop. If they force me to go to 10 on the desktop, I'm junking everything and going to Apple.
I originally owned an Apple Fat Mac, liked it and still have it. But since then I've stayed away from Apple because of not liking Jobs and hating how much Apple overcharges their customers - they're sitting on almost $200 BILLION of your money that they can't figure out what to do with. But MS could force me to switch back to Apple.......
