Maybe I missed your point. I thought you were comparing an ethernet connecton and wifi and making the comparison that the wifi connection is the same as leaving your doors unlocked and completly unprotected. I appologize if I read that incorrectly.
The claim wasn't that WiFi was an open door, nor was it a claim that Ethernet was a perfect solution. It was a simple statement that using Ethernet provides better security, which is true, and can be done with minimal effort.
Well with the correct security settings wireless is as good as wired, and I prefer the cleanness and convenience of wireless connections.
The wireless connections within your LAN, will be far faster than the WAN connection you are getting through your ISP broadband.
