If there were ripped from CD's there should be no DRM hence no permissions. Maybe burn them on a disk and try on someone's computer running an older version of windows. If that works, you could maybe convert them to MP3's or burn an audio CD that you could then rerip.
One reason I don't like WMA files. I had issues with DRM on them just from copying to another folder. In the end, I burned audio CD's are ripped in a different format.

I have found programs to convert .wma files to .mp3 but they all require my transferring the .wma file to another program that I could download but I get a message that I am not authorized to access this file.
