Has anyone used a prepaid T-Mobile SIM card in Alaska?

OK, real answer, from T-Mobile live chat, data transfer rates will be very poor or non-existent in most areas, but voice and SMS should function near to normal. There aren't very many towers up there as far as I can tell.
