HD TV Antena

Looking for an HD TV indoor Antena with a good range.
As I undersatnd it it is placed on a window inside the RV and hooked to the TV.
Any Suggestions?
Thanks

  • Tell us what you have now. The above is correct - a working Wingman is better than anything else for an RV, unless you want to carry around a huge home TV antenna and mast.

Assuming you have a Winegard, if yours isn't cutting it, you may need to aim it toward the stations (there are web sites and phone apps which will help), it may need a Wingman add-on ($30) to pick up UHF stations better, you may not be pushing the button to power the amplifier, or the amp in the antenna may be bad ($50 for a replacement head, including the Wingman). All of which are easily fixed.

NO indoor (window) antenna is going to work better then a roof mounted one.

I'm going to guess you have a Winegard crank-up, probably the Sensor-III. If so, get the Winegard Wingman add on. It improves UHF a great deal

If your fifth wheel already has an antenna then why not use it? If you must have an indoor/window mount Winegard makes one I think.

  • We have one at our S&B home, and it works well for the local stations up to about 50 miles in the same direction. Your best bet is a Sensar IV batwing up on top, with a Sensar Pro booster panel inside.
  • No such thing as an "HD" TV antenna. Anyone or anything that tells you otherwise is scamming you.

Indoor flat panel window antennas are for use in dense urban areas, where the transmitter is likely on the roof of the building just down the block. They don't work so well in most RV environments.

Was your rooftop antenna damaged or otherwise unavailable?
