Any suggestions for headphones for the TV/DVD player? Hubby likes to watch movies that I don't want to hear... Thanks!

sam's has an assortment of wireless ones. but it would be cheaper just to buy a set of ear plugs.bumpy

If he likes earbuds, big two thumbs up for the Klipsch S2. They normally retail for around $70 but are often on sale for about $40. The sound was fantastic, I listened to songs and kept thinking, I never realized this instrument was in this song. They also do a decent amount of noise cancellation. The shape unlike most is oval, as is your ear canal which makes them the most comfortable ear buds I have ever used.My soap box on headphones in general though is: don't get sucked into buying Beats or Monster or other trendy brands. They are just that, trendy but their quality generally does not match the steep price tag. Also you do not need $300 headphones to get good quality. From what I have seen, once you hit around the $40-50 range the quality goes way up and from there, there is very little noticeable quality between $50 and $300. Look for a brand that is well known for Hi Fi, not expensive cables or rap music or has a skull on the side.

Sennheiser makes a number of headsets in which the transmitter is connected to the TV and sends a wireless signal to the headset. You just need to choose which type of connection is available with your TV. I have diminished hearing and DW's hearing is very good. This unit has been good for both of us. Hope this helps.

I recently got into some BLUETOOTH speakers and things... Never knew what these can do for you and being wireless... The quality and local footprint range is superb...Might want to look into something along this line...Roy Ken

Hubby prefers wireless. We do have a USB port on the TV, so are looking for Bluetooth if we can find them. He also wants over the ear. Thanks!

How about one of these for Bluetooth transmitting and your favorite BT headphones? Or possibly a second of those Anker units as a receiver to any headphones.

I'm always the first at buying the latest coolest travel stuff, but this is a headphone for sitting on a jet trying to mute out the engines. If you can afford them great, they do what they say better then any that I have found. But the QC series were created for flyers. You can do a hellofa lot better in a ground based consumer class these days. There are lots of products out there for less than $300

If you decide on a Bluetooth solution, consider a headset with integrated microphone. Then the headsets can also be used with a Bluetooth enabled phone.

Not to make a big deal about it... but just to lay the cards on the table since Bluetooth came up...
Bluetooth does have a big advantage in that it is wireless. However if you have a good ear, or are listening to low loss audio or Blueray quality movies you can notice a difference. Bluetooth does have a bandwidth limitation that does affect the quality of sound a little.
For most people it is not a huge deal though.

You are going to need two things for Bluetooth. A Bluetooth transmitter for the TV and Bluetooth headphones. Most Bluetooth transmitters plug into the headphone jack on the TV. The problem with this is that it usually kills the TV speakers. If you want to use the TV speakers you have to unplug the transmitter. Some TVs have audio out via red and white RCA connectors or digital audio out. The best to worst choices are digital out, RCA out, and worst is headphone out.

The USB port is usually used for an input such as flash drive or USB hard drive to play video, pictures, or music on the TV. It can also be used to power some Bluetooth transmitters.

A search on Amazon will list hundreds of Bluetooth transmitters.

Where do you buy Boise? Well I got mine from Boise. they have an outlet store in Birch Run, MI (Among many other big discount malls)

Right across the freeway from General RV :).

As I said, they are expensive.. but man are they good.. I have two different noise canceling.. I think I lost the other pair though.
