If you are going to do an FM modulator, which I have done several times, go with one that is hard wired into the antenna.. Like this..

you might need antenna adapter cables depending upon the size of the antenna cable on a range rover
Since you range rover has a remote CD deck, you can probably swap the connection out to an aux input converter, which I have also done in a few vehicles.
