- chrisguldExplorerThere are a few new "filter" features, but I am missing the photos of the gas stations.
Here's my take on it as shown in our Geeks On Tour weekly show:
Gas Buddy Demo
just watch for 3-4 minutes. I show the Diesel settings as well as map - Bill_SatelliteExplorer IIExactly. Why did they complicate the process. You used to have immediate access to fuel type as well as sorting by distance or price. Now, not so much. The app always allowed you to type any city in the location box but it's also quite easy to click on the map icon and use your fingers to zoom out showing as much of the US as you like. Then move the map so your location is centered and zoom back in. At least that still works.
- wa8yxmExplorer IIITook me under a minute to figure it out on my computer. Tap the Word REGULAR, it's a drop down menu.
I was also able to get other cities and even whole states easily, Very logical, just change the name in the location box.. IE: I'm in Townsend GA
I put in Flint, MI, or just Ohio (Oh) and zap, it went there.
Phone was a bit different
Fuel type: Top right is a "Settings" icon (3 sliders) tape it and choose fuel and some other stuff
Top of page is the words "Current Location" tap on that box and enter a "Remote" location. I used Flint, MI in my test and recoginized several local brands and addresses.
I buy gas in flint, but stay away from the Water. - SCClockDrExplorer

The app has many nice new features. I actually took the time to explore and try some things. And overall it's better. Provided you don't just look at it and throw up you hands without exploring it . I does have some things that need improvement and I left suggestions for the developer. Then again I'm a early adopter and live with changes and love it
Op top right corner menu button ... push ... select diesel ? Seems simple to me
Whatever you do, don't list your age.
Age? Not in the list of options I see.
Just to clarify, if "Hide stations that don't have my fuel" is on, stations with your fuel but it's not in their database will be omitted. Many stations have diesel but are not in their database as having diesel. - tmartin000Explorer II

This is the worst thing to ever happen to the app. Luckily I am at a fixed location for awhile and I know where the cheap gas is. I hope they get it fixed before I actually need it again.
- donn0128Explorer IIAgain, send the developers an email expressing your displeasure. I just got back an email from them saying they wont be going back, but will be making fixes in the coming months. Guess another good app gone the way of the dodo.

I personally do not like the new Gas Buddy app. It used to get the local fuel prices automatically when you opened the app. Now, you have to press the app button. Also, I use diesel and the new app shows every station up to more than three miles away including ones that do not sell diesel.
There is a place on the app where you can elect to show only stations that have the fuel you want. - 2MacsExplorerI personally do not like the new Gas Buddy app. It used to get the local fuel prices automatically when you opened the app. Now, you have to press the app button.
