Help with Winegard

We recently bought a Crusader fifth wheel that had the Winegard installed, unfortunately there are no instructions. I tried calling them and sat on hold for 30 minutes, tried emailing them but have gotten no response. The only paperwork we have with the trailer talks about turning the antenna manually from the inside but there is no handle to turn like in our old trailer. Any help would be appreciated.
  • winegard what? sat? OTA antenna? motorized? a model name/number would help us.

    Winegard makes several antennas

one, well several, are of a design we call "the Batwing antennas" These have ahandle to turn and the Sensar IV is one of if not the best RV OTA antenna

The ROadstar looks like a flying saucer.. The most common one is an "omin"direcitonal meaning it works equally bad in all directions.

There is another flying saucer that is direcitonal or so I'm told.. I saw another company's version of it. Never seen the winegard.

Then there are satellite TV antennas. Again multiple models.

We really need to know which one you have.
  • According to the paperwork that I do have its an Air 360+ long range omnidirectional HDTV antenna. Brown round plastic bubble on the roof. I also have a small button mounted in a compartment that stays red, if you hold it long enough it will flash but that's about it.
  • google is really your friend in the RV world.

Omnidirectional antennas do not have the crank or knob that the Batwing has.

They also do not have the range (Senistivity) the Batwing has

So the reason you can not find the crank and knob.. There isn't any.
  • The red light indicates that the amplifier (built in) is not powered. The light will be green when the amp is powered.
BTW, amplifier not powered is worse (gain wise) than no amplifier at all.
