You might be thinking of HijackThis, which will delete all manner of critical files if allowed to do so.
You are correct. The warning goes to HJT, the open source malware tool. No relation to HitmanPro.
I guess that's what you get for trying to do two things at once. Deleting our annoying spammer while responding to a thread.
