Hopper without dish or internet...
Anyone know if I can use the hopper like a DVD player? IOW, just unplug it from the house and set it into the trailer and plug it into the TV. Then just play already recorded content? Thanks Dan

We are currently in a campground with very heavy tree cover. We have a hopper and travler. Since there is no way to get satellite signal, we just watch the pre-recorded stuff.
When you turn on the box (from the tv), ignore the screen and push the DVR button. You will have access to all your recorded content.
To test it at home, disconnect the cable that runs to the satellite dish. Same result...
