hot spots

Any recommendations for the best portable Hot Spots for RVs? Lots of remote camping.
  • Gotta love my Mobley and a Netgear hotspot. With unlimited data and $23/month it's a winner. No longer available, of course, but great if you grabbed on awhile back!
  • I have two Netgear Unite Explore hotspots. One on unlimited AT&T Mobley and one on T-Mobile 20g . these are vintage hotspots but have all the features I need and are still working 100% where ever I travel. They have great battery life, dual antenna input and excellent WiFi distance reception. Until Star link gets 100% up and running, ill keep using these devices.
  • Hi,

I have unlimited data on both my phones (each is with a different carrier). One throttles at 50 gigs; the other at 30 gigs. I can still watch netflix even when throttled.

FMCA's Tech Connect. 50 setup 50/month NO LIMIT on Data
  • There are many to choose from but obviously you want one that works with your plan ! Don't spend extra for 5G. It will be sometime before 5G is going to be available outside of cities. Last, shop for one that has inputs for 2 antennas. If you get inspired you can mount a pair on a pole and raise it up. It will improve your reception a lot.
  • are you just looking for a hot spot and have cell reception? If so easiest and least expensive is to use your phone as a hot spot. next is to get a hot spot from your cell carrier, but that (a) costs and (b) is considered an additional device hence an additional monthly charge.

If your looking for something to boost your signal when you are in marginal areas, a hot spot is NOT the solution, a cell phone booster is a solution.
