- tvman44ExplorerI use Firefox and Video Downloader Professional (a free program) to copy u-tube videos to my HDD. In fact I am in the process of saving over a hundred u-tube videos on wood working that I plan to save to a DVD and plan to also put on my tablet to view later at my convenience. It works great. :)
- FrankShoreExplorerAlthough it has some innocuous spyware in it, you can use MP3Rocket:
MP3Rocket
It has a powerful search engine to search for music/video and download and save as a ringtone/video/audio etc.
You can also do what you want to do and copy and paste the URL of a YouTube into the program and save it to you PC.
The only videos that are locked are any that have an Adult Age restriction on it. - MrWizardModeratorIf you are using Firefox browser
Options
Add-ons
Get new
Search YouTube
Or just install "Flash down loader"
As noted some videos are locked and cannot be downloaded - wa8yxmExplorer IIII use firefox and an add on called You Tube video and audio downloader
Link to its home page
NOTE: Some files can NOT be downloaded.
I also have You Tube Video Downloader on my Android phone. - Army11BravoExplorer IIOpen You Tube and find the video you want. Select the URL link for the video. Open www.SaveVid.com in a new tab and paste the link in the appropriate box. The website should provide you with several options to download the format you prefer. SaveVid is a great free website to transfer videos to your own computer.
- chevyman2Explorerdo a google search for "Free You Tube Downloader" then just pick one and follow download instructions. After download, follow instructions for use.
Added note: You tube changes their code very often, so you may have to download several before you find one that works, and then that one may not work for very long.
