It is confusing until you discover the original purpose of DNS was to provide service to residences in areas without local channels. The advent of satellite for RVs came later and DNS was expanded to service them. Interestingly enough, RVs are eligible for DNS, but boats are not. We have several friends who live on their boats for months at a time as they cruise up and down the west coast. Not too much different from us RVers.
