Your dome can be used with your Genie (and a client if you like). You need to update the dome with the SWM8 hardware but it's very easy to install and requires no new holes in the roof.

Thank you for the information. I actually talked with winegard about the year/model of my dome ('08~'09 Roadtrip STi), they told me to use an H24 or older receiver. At that time I did not have Directv in my house, that might be why they didn't mention the info you gave me.
