We currently have dish and just got the red zone pack with the promise that we could watch our packer football games no matter where we were. We found out last night that isn't the case and in fact most of the games won't be aired and no they are not backed out.We want to switch to DirectvTV and get the NFL Sunday ticket. We have been trying for 2 days to get someone to understand that we just need the boxes for our RV, they keep insisting a tech needs to come out to the " house" which we don't have. Does anyone have the secret to getting this done

I had them ship a new sat dish to the campground so I could get Local HD in South Carolina...and Directv receiver box the year before... I did the install..then you call Directv to select viewing package and activate box.

Directs latest technology is the Genie which allows you up to 5 wireless slaves. This system is SWM, meaning one wire from receiver to dish.

We always took receivers from home for either Dish or Directv, maybe this link might be helpful. Just a side note, Directv HD programming cannot be accessed by any of the automated domes currently on the market. For automated signal acquisition a Winegard Traveler can be roof-mounted to your rig, or the method we have always used is to manually set-up an HD sat dish upon arrival to our location. Good luck, whether dry camping, boondocking, or even when at a park where cable is provided, we love us some satellite tv.

I have DirectV for my motor home. I tried to get help from DirectV without success. Here is how I went about solving the issue.Ordered a receiver H23-600 from DirectV. I believe I paid approximately $100.00 for It. No HD on my set up. I have an old Carry Out that the receiver plugs directly into the Carry Out using the proper cable, along with the electrical cable to plug into the cig. lighter. Let the Carry Out find the sat. Set the receiver on "18" round dish" and "Multiswitch". and the sat. will do the rest of the set up.It sounds confusing but actually fairly simple. Good Luck, Bill.

Do you have a Direc dish and LNB? The dish and LNBs are not compatible with each other. Do you have a brick and mortar address? Have the installer come out and do the install, then buy your own dish tripod package and take the home receiver with you. Directs latest technology is the Genie which allows you up to 5 wireless slaves. This system is SWM, meaning one wire from receiver to dish.
