How do you monitor data usage with StraightTalk Hotspot?

After some research, I've bitten the bullet and ordered a StraightTalk Hotspot that operates from the Verizon towers. I haven't located a way (other than a call to StraightTalk) to monitor total usag...

When you purchase a StraightTalk Hotspot, can you actually specify that you want Verizon service?
