Go to your local hardware store or big-box Home Depot/Lowes and buy some vinyl coated wire cable. They will also have available an accessory for creating a loop in each end of the cable. Put one loop end through the handle and padlock through the loop and back over the cable. Do the same at the other end of the cable to a tree, campground picnic table, RV, or tow vehicle. Buy however much feet of cable you think you will need. It won't stop a serious thief, but will deter the grab and go.
