Agreed don't worry about it. It is not a high theft item. I have owned a VuQube 2000 for years without issue.
Most thieves don't know what it is. There is very little black market for the device.
Leave your worries home and enjoy yourself.
I camp as a means to escape the rat race for awhile, just the idea of attaching the cable ruins my experience.
I have placed my VuQube in clearing 100 yards away out of view without any worry.
