How to get better tv reception

All cable connections are clean ?
Do you have the 'wingman' add on for the wineguard , that improves UHF reception for those stations that moved to UHF

Then It boils down to signal strength
Get a house type antenna and put it on a pole higher in the air

Consider satelite

No i dont have the wingman since I wasn't sure if it make much difference.

Depending on where you are, the antenna is probably about the best you can get. With the Wingman, Maximum range is about 50+ miles, although I have viewed channels as much as 70 miles away. Lots of variables, type of country, hills, and the actual signal strength from the station. Use one of the free apps to give you an idea of what stations you should receive at your location, and the relative signal strength. If there are weak signals available, a Winegard Sensar Pro amplifier might help. About the only other option is a High-Gain residential antenna on a higher mast. There are several current threads on this forum asking the same questions, reviewing those may help you.

Well, what do you have? " Winegard" doesn't tell us much since they make all kinds of RV TV antennas. Numerous reports seem to indicate the new Winegard Razar Automatic antenna is about as good as it gets for RVs.

I installed the "Wingman" add on. WOW! Before about 20 channels, same campsite after installation, 44 channels. Well worth the $25.00

It does make a difference. I bought one and boy did it help. I got channels here at home I didn't know where on the air.

Spring for the Sensar IV - just change the head of the antenna - 10 minutes with a screw-driver and make sure all you connections are super clean.

Made a great difference - I get tv reception almost everywhere now

Turn the power off and clean the coax connections, even scraping the center wire with a knife on all the connections you can find.

TV signals do not bend around the earth.. even 50 miles can prevent receiving.. then the hills, trees, building. 10 miles away.. blocks..

Higher/better antenna, more powerful amplifier. OR BOTH.

I did Home antenna installations long time ago.. many miles from towns/cities.
and in some installations.. only the best cable .. as any cable has LOSS. and lower end cables has LOTS OF LOSS.

or go Satellite .

at one time at Home.. I had a 20 foot long VHF antenna and a 9 foot Parabolic Dish UHF antenna.. with amplifiers at the antenna AND at the television.

and on a 60 foot tower. and only received channels, 3,5,8,19,25,43,61.
