How to get Direct to talk to Wineguard, help.

You need to make sure that the cable coming out of the wall does not go through the antenna power supply for the roof top over the air antenna.
Verify that the cable you are using is the one that goes to the dish and not from an exterior satellite hook up or cable hook up.
I will double check...but it says winegard on the wall plate.
