You indicate that you think it is the OS that is causing the problem. What about the program that is running?
XP is different in some ways from Win7. Is the version of Logmein for Win7 instead of XP?
Have you search for problems with Logmein and XP and also visited their forum and FAQ for issues?
Some programs do not release memory as they should and can cause problems that will crash system that is left on for a long time.
