Since the OP has a Verizon phone it can be used as a mobile Hotspot thus turning the phone into a free WIFI. Verizon's webite has instruction. This option is not available with the Unlimited Data Plans. For Verizon Unlimited Data Plans, which I still have, I use the FOXFI app to get my free Hotspot.
