I Like Verizon, But.....

I've been using Verizon cellular service for years, and have always been satisfied with their coverage, customer service, etc. However, for the past several months there have been periods when no service at all was available. Most of the problem occurs during the mornings, when it becomes impossible to place a call since there's no signal. Being handicapped, it's become a safety situation.

It appears that the problem has gotten worse when I moved from Tucson to Amarillo a few months ago, so it may be a regional situation. I'd like to stay with Verizon, but if it becomes necessary to switch, so be it. My question is: Have any of you other Verizon users had a similar situation? Thank you.
  • Can say that my phone on the verizon network has very little issues with having service. In fact, here out west where coverage can be spotty my verizon service is often the only phone that can actually make calls, particularly when we're RVing in remote areas. T-Mobile and ATT have occasional lack of service in many smaller towns, and Sprint is nearly useless outside of major cities. We have been in both Tucson area (Kartchner Caverns) and a few days in Amarillo in the last few months, neither location posed any issues with our Verizon service. I have had friends and family having issues with dropping calls and lack of service that turned out to be phone related, maybe problem is more hardware related than network availability. Good luck, hope you find resolution quickly, these days we can hardly survive without our cell phones.
  • I'm also wondering if the problem has to do with the implementation of 5G. Probably not, but it appears coincidental.:h
  • No Verizon but I have so far had good luck with AT&T for years now and even in remote desert areas as long as I am within 2 or less miles near primary highway such as state Hwy or Federal. Even most small towns such as Gerlach, Nevada have a cell tower and reception year round.
  • no problem here in metro chicago. and no such problems last year between here and mesa, az and back.
