My 5er initially had a single coax input for cable. But it came into a dual coax wall plate in a cabinet under the living room TV, with a short coax jumper cable between the two wall plate connectors. To use my Tailgater I could just remove the jumper and connect a 3' long coax cable from one of the wall plate connectors to my sat receiver, and connect my Tailgater to the external cable TV connection. To use cable I had to put the jumper back in place.
But to avoid having to mess with the coax jumper, I later added another weather proof external coax connector with rubber cover connected to a new inside coax wall plate at the sat receiver. I just drilled a hole in the side of the trailer near the TV in an area when I could remove a cabinet side panel and see the outer wall, making it easy to connect the outside connector to the inside connector. So now I have the original input for cable and a new dedicated input for sat.
