I need an Ereader.

My old Nook died. They will not repair it and it was slowly loosing functions thru non-support, anyway. I have the app on my Eclipse 7, but the battery sucks. I also have the app on my phone, but that's hard to use.

Has anyone tried Nook's basic Glowlight? All I want to do with this thing is read.
  • Kindle paperwhite with that back light is the only way to go for the late night readers like me. Also get the free Calibre Ebook management system for your PC, very handy. You can convert your nook books to kindle.
  • Can't beat a Kindle-have my original Kindle bought years ago, and it still works fine. Would buy another Kindle if this one ever dies.
  • Two Kindle Paperwhites, one Kindle Fire - we prefer the Paperwhites for reading-Fire for games. Amazon has tons of free books also and have found some really good ones.

My wife has that Nook and it works just fine. Only drawback is if you get books from the library you need to transfer them with a usb cable from a computer running Adobe Digital Editions. I have a Kindle Paperwhite and the library books load wirelessly through Amazon. The also stay there beyond the due date as long as I don't reconnect to wifi. The light in either one is a great feature that I wouldn't be without.
  • My wife and I have Kindle paper whites with built in screen backlight.

    We really like ours.

  • I use the Kindle DX because I like to use an e-book reader that is closer in size to a real book. And I don't have to turn pages so often. :)

I also have the Nook HD+ for ePub books that are a pain to put on the Kindle.
  • I have a Kindle PaperWhite and my Wife has the standard Kindle. Easy to order books thru Amazon.
