Want to buy first I-Pad just wanted to ask if this new one seems to be a good product? Not sure how long its been out or the reviews,so figured I would ask people who know. Thanks if it gets good reviews will get one this week. Im still using a flip phone,this year will be upgrading that also.

It's Apple.. it's good. There are 6 reviews on Amazon. Too new to be on here.

My wife upgrade today from the original iPad.Air is much more powerful and faster WiFi downloads etc.The old one feels clunky now, no going back.I have the iPad3 and still happy with it, a little envious.

Sounds good,at best buy they were pushing it.I wanted retina display and gps enabled,was going to take model before I-pad air ,but they were saying none in stock and if I wanted retina this was only option now. I want to use it traveling with camping apps ect. Also want to get a waterproof case and maybe use it oneday as a secondary navigation device on a boat.I have a chart plotter and sounder ,but this would be good as a backup separate from the garmin.If gps stopped working you could use I-pad with navionics or some other app.Guess im going to enter 21st century and get one. Thanks.

The iPad Mini with Retina Display went on sale yesterday. That was kind of a surprise because the general assumption was they were going to become available November 22. That was a pretty low key introduction for Apple. I imagine they are in short supply.
