And again, 1 more time. I bought the IPAD 3, and in the apps there is something called Rand McNally, I put that on the IPAD, cost for the app is $100.00. This comes with free map up grades for life. In the windows world, you keep buying and paying for upgrades, Apple you do not. Once loaded the Rand McNally, now you DO NOT need Internet for it to run. I just put in the route, then close the cover on it and it speaks to me telling me where to turn, do not need to look at it. It does not need to be hooked up to power, because it lasts for almost 10 hours, and by that time we are at the next campground. Put it on charge and by next morning, ready to go again. With the IPAD, I can go on line, as I am doing now, the GPS you can not go on line.
To me it is so much better. I still have my laptop, but the IPAD is starting to be used more and more.
