"I've always hated this corporate style - screw over your long-term customers unless they threaten to leave. It's one of the reasons why I stopped cable. Treat me with respect or lose my business. I'm not going to beg to get a decent price."
I agree. I was really hacked when I looked at the internet bill (rarely do) and found that they had jacked up the price on me. But I'm not one to cut off my nose to spite my face. If I want to have internet, I've one option.(other than satellite-which is bad) I want to have internet.
It's kind of like buying a car. You want a new car, but you know that in order to get it you must deal (beg) with the dealership and salesmen who have no scruples. The only thing in your favor is the fact that they have competition. Same with the satellite providers -- they know that you can drop or switch; so they want to keep your business.
