ImageMagick is a software suite to create, edit, compose, or convert bitmap images." There is a screen interface or command line options to do almost anything to a photo. It is the best
batch image editor if you want to edit LOTS of photos in the same way. Use the screen interface to do the 1st photo & it will show the options needed to get the same results using the command line.
It is available for Linux, Windows, Mac Os X, iOS, Android OS, and others.
I use the command line features to
1. take an image from an IP camera
2. overlay weather data (current temp, humidity, rain, etc.)
3. trim the original photo to remove part of the original image
4. re-size the converted image to a specific resolution
The end result is a weather station photo that Weather Underground will display. In my setup it is running every 5 minutes on a 3G WiFi router that was re-flashed to run an OpenWRT Linux.
