Our over the winter trip taught us many things, and one of them is that park WiFi is a joke. Verizon hotspot and a 16gb data plan does it for us.
Now, if you could replace the park system with a multi-point cellular system, you might have something. I think most RVers would pay an extra buck or 2 a day for decent internet. If you could get enough throughput to replace the park cable TV (another joke), that would be stellar.
I have installed systems that would accommodate what you are talking about. I would love to hear what the folks actually using it, as opposed to managements view, think about "tiered service".
We have set up systems that offer a free Wifi connection that is limited to 1mbps. If you want a faster connection or a public IP you pay a daily or weekly fee for the upgrade.
I have configured a handful of systems that way but they are not systems that I have an ongoing management role so I don't see how many folks actually use the free vs paid service.
What do you all think of this kind of service offering?
