Importing into Windows Movie Maker?

We (wife mostly) got things running today. Still have a problem. If a slide show is created with no music all is well and the pictures stay in the file.
If music is added and the slide show is set the way she wants it and then it is filed, when the file is retrieved over half of the pictures will be blank.
As best as I can figure from poking around is that a screen came up about using proprietary sound.
We are still stumped since the music is off her ITunes.
I am burned out for today and will resme and digest your posts more but not today. Just thought I would update about that proprietary info.
