Installing HDMI on 2012 Tour.

The receiver (Directv) is not on a slide and the HD tv is on the other side of the coach and is on a slide. Holes in the roof is last resort.
Concerned about the "tightening" and "loosening" of the hdmi when operating the slide with the TV.
Please keep it simple and easy, if possible.
Thanks

  • The rca cables disappear into a wall plate. Then magically appear in the full wall slide on the other side of the coach. It's the movement of the slide maybe pulling in the proposed hdmi installation. Don't think it can be fished through existing channel, or it would have been accomplished already.

Everybody: Thank you for the replies.
  • As far as movement goes, and worry about cables coming loose, just attach the cables securely to the same surface that the TV is mounted, and there will be no movement or vibration to worry about.
  • If there is power 12v or 110v in your slide, look for the wiring that supplies that. then route your new hdmi wiring the same way.
  • RCA cables carry a HD signal just as well as hdmi cable. Probably better. Just find out if your receiver will provide a HD signal to the RCA jacks. Some will, some won't. Our Cable box will, but only to one or the other at a time.

Lol, I don't care about what kind of cables, I wanted to know why the TV and tuner are on the opposite sides!!? How are the cables routed now?
  • Came from the factory with RCA cables. Want to upgrade the quality of HD tv.

    How about my question?
  • Please explain why this situation exists in the first place.
