Like others have said, both have their Pros and Cons. I've had both and currently have a Samsung A6. It was half the cost of either an iphone 8 or better and the Samsung Galaxy 9. Putting price aside, for me, the iphone itself is a little simpler to learn while the phones running on the android system offer more freedom and are easier when wanting to get pictures, videos off the phone and onto a computer. (Plug it in, navigate to a folder, cut/paste vs. using a cumbersome itunes program which works much better on a Mac computer than a windows computer). In the end, choose a phone that will work the best with the other stuff you have.
