Are you guys sure the OP isnt posting about a windows computer in error?
Everyonr knows an Apple product is perfect and you never have to reboot or reinstall the OS.

Also, have you ever cleared out all your browsing history & cookies in Safari?

Before you completely reset your device, if have not already done so, try closing out all your apps. This is done by double clicking the home button, then sliding all the apps towards the top. Then do what Mona4 suggested. I have found that doing this on a regular basis keeps things running quite nicely.

Try the following: hold the home key and the start-up button down at the same time until your apple is seen on on your device. This is similar to rebooting your computer system. We usually do this to IPads that freeze. Resetting your iPad is your last option. If you need reset your iPad make sure you back up your system to another computer or to the cloud.

Full restore if nothing else works.

Mine was doing that. It was almost full. Deleted apps I don't use, etc and solved the problem.

I have seen a lot more keyboard freezes with iOS8 that anything previous. This issue is really better in an Apple form where you will find thousands of users.

If I did the reset do I choose reset all settings OR erase all settings and content?
