Make sure the TV is set to ANTENNA not Cable, Double check all cables and switches between ROOF and the indoor indicator and the TV.
And use an Antenna Helper app on your smart phone to see how many stations you should be able to receive (And which way to point the jack)
Remember, if you look at the arms of the jack like a "Less than" symbol (<) that would be pointing to the RIGHT.. or in other words the antenna points in the direction the signal travels to get to you (Away from the transmitter).
