DirecTV come from satellites orbiting the Earth and you have a special antenna to receive this programming. It has nothing to do with the number of channels that might be available at your home when being broadcast from an Earth based TV tower. Have you ever received OTA TV at your home location (in the house or RV)? Where exactly are you currently located?
Did you use the existing Winegard power supply or install a new one? Is that power turned on? Have you checked to see if you have good 12+VDC power on the center conductor of the coax up on the roof?
