If your PC has Bluetooth capability, you don't need to plug anything into any port to use a wireless mouse.
I have a Bluetooth wireless mouse and it just talks with the computer directly. There are probably Bluetooth wireless keyboards that do the same.
It makes for a very clean and simple wireless setup.
