Took about 20-30 minutes on my machines. The eldest laptop was 30 maybe a bit more. I think there's so much variety in computer configurations, that it's difficult to say how long an upgrade should take. A mechanical hard drive could really slow things down, depending on the age and model of the drive, and how full it is.
All of mine have at least 4gb ram, two main computers have 32gb and all run solid state drives (ssd). I gave up on mechanical drives years ago.
