The law is against breaking encryption, not copying content for personal use. As long as you don't break the encryption you may lawfully copy the content. And the only way to do that is to play the disk and record the video. You can do that with either a $4 hardware video capture device or some (free/$40/$60) software. Details are on the first page.
Then there are some here who think this whole discussion is pedantic. I understand. :B
