Local Channels on DirecTV

We are in FL for the winter from MI and our local MI channels are blacked out. Is there a way to get the local FL area channels here in FL?

I you call DirecTV (you may need to speak with a supervisor) you can request both E and W for an extra $5/month. They show in writing that only E or W is available but several people have reported successfully getting both my simply asking for them.
I have them but I am grandfathered in from a time when that was the standard.

I was going to do that and then I got a Genie (HR44) instead. With the ability to record or watch 5 channels at the same time I find I no longer need the other DNS feed to avoid conflicts when scheduling recordings.

That would likely work for me unless I had only the W feed and was traveling in the E. I would never be able to watch my programming the same day it was broadcast but that's not a problem for some folks.

We have the eastern feed. We spent all spring/summer in the pacific time zone. Jay Leno came on at 8:30; even old farts like us could stay up to watch him!
