Thank you, Robert.I tried downloading and installing one of those free password retrievers and I get a dialogue box that says, "installation files are missing". i'm going to try again, using a different browser (IE instead of Chrome)and see what happens.
I'm confused, you say you can't get into the computer but you tried to install a password cracking tool?
Look at the link Robert provided. The tools listed there are used on bootable CDs or USB sticks. They don't get installed in Windows.
