LONG cable for DISH?
Hi all--want to connect from the house to an outbuilding about 300 yards away. Can this be done with cable that long or do I need an additional service?

People have run RG-6 300 feet, YMMV. With RG-6, there would be ~30 dB of loss @2250 MHz @300 ft. To even have a chance at 300 yards, you'd need much better cable, such as LMR-600-75 (~36 dB and ~$2/ft), or even hardline (even more $$$).
