Looking at Wireless Home Phone? Is it really portable???

I was at a Verizon Store and was ask about my home phone. I was quoted a wireless home phone for $20. a month with unlimited long distance. I was told that I could take it on vacation and have my hom...

I am also trying to understand the advantages over a mobile phone. In your scenario, do all the phones have the same number? It would be just like multiple phones on the same land line. That would make sense as an advantage.
