the 'home connect'
is a cellular reciver
to use it you connect 'residential phones' to it
wired phones or residential cordless phones
it can be used at the stick house or in the rv
buy you cannot stick it in your pocket , like a Cell phone
and drive to the mall and use it
the cellular unit stays in the house or rv
once you take the cordless out of range from the base 'plugged into the cell unit' it does not function
since it is a cellular based system you can use it in the rv anywhere you go
it is a residential system
no gps, no text, no web, no pictures data etc..
which is why it is cheaper and mainly used to reduce 'residential' expenses
