My basic home phone is almost as inexpensive as the Verizon Home Phone Connect BUT then I pay for caller ID, I pay $6/mo for the "priviledge" of having Verizon as my long distance carrier, I pay a tax on THEIR gross earnings, I pay $1/mo to fund 911 serice in my state, .... and the list goes on .... to over $55/mo.
Absolutely, below is what is added to our 19.99 to give a total bill of 25.65 for the Home Phone Connect. Like all places they nickel and dime you to death! But it is still half of what ATT was charging for a basic phone connection in the home.
