Looking at Wireless Home Phone? Is it really portable???

I was at a Verizon Store and was ask about my home phone. I was quoted a wireless home phone for $20. a month with unlimited long distance. I was told that I could take it on vacation and have my hom...

We have Home Phone Connect as an additional device on our existing plan so it shares our plan minutes. With taxes and surcharges it costs $12.56/month. We used to pay about $22/month for a landline from AT&T so this is less expensive.
