First things first. I am wondering why you want a gps with a 15 inch screen? It is easy to find a gps with a 6 inch screen.
And yes more memory is necessary, 12 or 16 gb would be great. A SSD of 256 gb would be sufficient and a second internal drive rather than an external drive is more convenient than an external one but either one is mandatory.
