I have been maintaining two stations on the Weatherbug and Wunderground networks almost since their inception, as well as having spent years as a NWS observer under the COOP program.
You very much get what you pay for with stations....or what you don't pay for. I would not want to put even one of the top level Davis Instrument packages into a mobile application even though they are great units for the price. Any of the cheaper ones like Accurite are basically just that..cheap....not all total junk but expecting them to hold up mounted on a vehicle is asking for a lot.
You could look into "Columbia Weather Systems", they have mobile specific stuff but get ready for sticker shock.
